In a world on the brink of moral and social collapse, one might look to the headlines of our day and ask, "What has led us here?" The issues are legion, and the descent rapid, as we find ourselves navigating through a tempest of moral relativism and cultural decay.
At the heart of this decline is a departure from the foundational Christian values that once acted as the compass for societal norms. Scripture, which is the foundation of objective morality upon which our laws were based, is now relegated to the periphery of public discourse, replaced by the idols of modernity: subjective truth, personal gain, and a relentless pursuit of pleasure.
The symptoms of this decay are manifest in various facets of contemporary life. The political sphere, once a battleground for principled debate, has become mired in corruption and self-interest. The case of Paul Pelosi and the subsequent media circus surrounding his trial is emblematic of a deeper issue—a loss of respect for human dignity and the sanctification of sensationalism over substance. It's a byproduct of a culture that values the lurid details of scandal more than the sanctity of truth.
The plight of the January 6 political prisoners surpasses a thousand days, and one must ask, does this reflect a society that values justice, or one that punishes dissent? The cry for justice seems to echo into a void, as those in power wield their authority not as a means to uphold justice, but as a tool to suppress and silence.
The media, in decades bygone the guardians of truth, now serve as nothing more than purveyors of deceit and division. A case in point is the narrative surrounding the 'ballot stuffer'—a revelation that should challenge the integrity of our democratic processes, yet is dismissed and mocked by the wicked gatekeepers of our day.
Queers in church? Transgender godparents? Co-habitating homosexuals? The Roman Catholic Church has an app for that. Want to execute an 8-month-old baby? Just ask a judge in the U.K. to approve it—no, order it.
This disarray is not a matter of happenstance but the result of a deliberate shift away from the absolute truths that once steered our nation. When corrupt leaders, like Biden, are confronted with their failings in leadership, the response is not one of humility and a call to virtue, but often a deflection or outright denial.
The relentless push towards a "Digital Identity" in the EU, often likened to the “Mark of the Beast,” raises alarm not merely for its potential for control and surveillance, but for its stark departure from the notion of individual liberty, a gift bestowed by God, not granted by governments.
Amidst this turmoil, few voices of reason and truth persist. Even secular figures like Steven Crowder stand as sentinels, refusing to bow to the pressure of a society that increasingly vilifies the principles upon which it was built. More principled than most of our Evangelical leaders today.
But the question remains, will the people pay mind to the biblical call to repent? To return to the biblical edicts that once forged strong families, communities, and nations? Or will they continue down the path of moral relativism, where truth is traded for comfort, and conviction for convenience?
The state of disarray and moral decline in our modern times can be attributed to a collective turning away from the immutable truths of Scripture. It is in this return to the divine precepts outlined in the Bible that society will find its bearings and perhaps, its redemption.
